67% of scholarship applicants are female
46% of applications received are from applicants of Samoan descent, 20% are from Tonga, 14% from Cook Islands.
94% of the applicants were studying at a tertiary institution in the North Island.
About half of the applicants are studying at under-graduate degree level; the majority of applicants are studying nursing, teaching or business studies.
